Synastry
Synastry is the comparison of two natal charts to read relationships, compatibility, and mutual activation of planets and houses.
How to read it in a chart
Synastry begins with two individual natal charts, not with the couple. First understand how each person handles closeness, conflict, attachment, and boundaries. Then compare inter-chart aspects and house overlays.
Strong contacts involving the Moon, Venus, Mars, the Sun, Saturn, and the angles show where the bond is felt most clearly. House overlays show which life area the other person activates: home, romance, work, crisis, friendship, or public role.
Common mistake
The mistake is to use synastry as a verdict: compatible or incompatible. Relationship charts do not replace maturity, choice, agreements, or circumstances. Hard contacts can bring attraction and growth; easy contacts can bring comfort without development.
Better synastry asks not only "are we compatible?" but "what kind of connection is this, and what does it need to stay alive?"
